Once upon a time
In the glittering city of Dubai there lived a foodie. She and her friends enjoyed all the flavours their home had to offer, the adventures each table held and the secrets hidden in each plate. During one of their tastecapades the group ventured to a popular fine dining restaurant to celebrate in style a reunion after years apart. As they had come to expect, this particular hotspot was teeming with the fashionistas, glitterati and sophisticated palates of the city.
The old friends talked, laughed and basked in one another's company; they were having such a great time that they took no notice of the untimely service or tired menus - even as they withered in the hands of the diners around them. The merriment and chatter distracted from the long wait, but such things cannot go unnoticed forever.
As the evening progressed, looks of irritation were exchanged around the table. Mistake after mistake was beginning to take it's toll on the festivities and the less than jovial hostesses were no help.
Roll on dessert and the patience at the table was wearing thin, the lavish meal didn't come cheap and such indulgences are meant to be enjoyed without a second thought. Alas, our great adventurers had no such luck - their sweet treats arrived from the kitchen in no less that 40 minutes, more than enough time to dull even the sweetest of teeth. Once their dishes had been half heartedly eaten a swift signal to the waiter and the bill was on it's way. The diners began preparing their share but once again the restaurant could do nothing but disappoint, a 35 minute battle of confused cards and cash left a sour taste in their mouth.
It was from this experience that our foodie envisioned KEZA. There had to be a way to bring the 21st century into the dining room, to bring the foodie in all of us closer to the chef in the kitchen and make use of all the technology surrounding the people of today. She toiled for three years, immersing herself in research and development and with each passing day her vision became clearer.
Here we are today, from a dinner table disaster to a handy mobile app built to take you beyond dining, to immerse you in the experience and to make sure you never have to go through what our adventurers did that fateful night.
